HOW DO WE TEACH ENGLISH?

We believe that children learn English most successfully when teaching is adapted to their age, level of ability and developmental stage. In our classes children:

hear and speak English throughout the class
participate actively in the class
are challenged and stimulated
feel comfortable, supported and not stressed
have the opportunity to develop all skills in a creative environment
use a variety of media (visual, audio, computer) to stimulate and motivate them

We believe that parents are important partners in the learning process so when you enrol your child for an English course, we will invite you to a New Students seminar so that you can learn about our methodology and how you can help your child learn English. Throughout the year we offer seminars on a range of interesting and useful topics for parents such as how children develop and learn. You will also be invited to Focus Group meetings so that we can get your opinion on our products and services.

HOW CAN I REGISTER MY CHILD FOR A COURSE?

Before you can register you child for an English course, we need to assess their current level of English. Please visit our registration webpage to see when our next registration period is and to see the schedule for level testing.

For BC Kids classes (last year of pre school and grade I) the level test will be a short interview with a teacher (5-10 minutes). For children in grades II to XII the level test consists of a short written test (20-30 minutes) and an interview with a teacher (5-10 minutes). After the level test, one of our Customer Services team will give you information about the schedules available for the class which our teacher has recommended for your child. If we have a class at a time suitable for your child and with available places, you can then register. (Places in classes are sold on a first come, first served basis and availability is limited.)
