Covid-19: English courses FAQs
If I want to re-register / register for the courses in autumn, what payment options do you have available?
If you have previously registered your child for a course with us, we will have sent you an invitation and registration instructions via email. You can pay by bank transfer; alternatively, you can visit us at our Main Centre in Bucharest by scheduling an appointment.
If you or your child would like to register for a course for the first time, in most cases will need to take a placement test so we can recommend the best course for your learning needs. After you have completed the test, you will receive all the information needed to help you register for one of our courses.
How will English courses be delivered if local government authorities communicate a high level of epidemiological risk in Bucharest?
In response to the local government guidelines communciated recently we have decided to temporarily suspend our face-to-face courses for young learners and adults as of Tuesday 20 October. Lessons will continue to be delivered live online, at the same time and on the same course days, with the same course groups, and parents / adult students will have received full information regarding this process starting with Monday 19 October.
Face-to-face courses will be temporarily suspended for an initial period of 14 calendar days and the decision will be reviewed depending on further official communication issued by the local government authorities insofar the epidemilogic context in Bucharest is concerned. In addition, we are constantly monitoring the situation and will be sure to contact parents and adult students when updates are available. Moreover, we will inform parents and adult students as soon as it is possible to resume face-to-face teaching in a safe learning environment.
What safety measures are in place in classrooms and in premises?
Your health is our priority. Following government guidelines and in line with the British Council standards, we will ensure that our classrooms provide a safe and optimal learning environment for students and our staff.
If I register myself or my child for a new face-to-face course, what will happen if there is another wave of the pandemic?
If we need to close the teaching centre in line with government guidelines, we guarantee that classes will continue online. Online classes will include the same number of hours as face-to-face classes.
Furthermore, we will do our best to ensure that your child's online courses will be with the same teacher, same classmates and at the same time.
