This summer, your child will be exploring exciting topics through a series of related activities including communicative games, projects, and arts in Iasi. For the younger age groups, the programme will cater to your child’s natural curiosity about the world around them. Older children will be developing skills such as collaboration, creativity and problem-solving. While making friends and having fun, your child will be improving their ability to communicate in English.

Course information

  •  Summer in the City takes place in Iași, between 15 July and 16 August, at our main centre on 4 Pacurari Street

    The programme is dedicated to children between 6 and 14 years old. In order to ensure homogenous classes, we will report to the child's age on 30 September 2019.

  • Course format

    10 hours per week. One 2 hours lesson per day.

    Maximum of:

    • 14 students in each Primary Infants class
    • 16 students in each Primary Juniors or Lower Secondary class.

Registration

All participants must have their level of English language fluency assessed through a free placement test offered by the British Council. Please book a level test here.

Lower Secondary
11 - 14 years old

This summer, each week your child will be exploring a new topic through a series of related activities, ranging from watching video clips to reading authentic texts and playing communicative games. The programme has been mapped for your child to develop life skills such as leadership, communication, creativity and problem-solving during the English lessons in the first part of the day.

While making friends and having fun, children will improve their ability to communicate in English. They will follow the footsteps of the great detective Sherlock Holmes and will travel the world with the help of the British Museum. Social skills are also developed as children learn to work together in teams and appreciate each other’s knowledge and talents by taking part in projects or games connected to the topics being explored that week.

The programme is structured in one-week stand-alone modules. Each day in a module consists of 2 hours of English classes. The lessons are designed to cater for children’s natural curiosity about the world and are project-based.
