Open Day at the British Council
Thursday 02 May 2019 -
11:30 to 20:00

You want to help your child enjoy learning English. You want them to be taught by qualified teachers, to feel safe and relaxed, and to become independent and confident. We know this because for over 80 years, we have helped more than 100 million people around the world improve their English with us. Our methods are trusted by millions of parents.

Come and meet us on 2 May!

If you've never visited our premises at 14 Calea Dorobanților, if you don’t have an @British Library subscription or if you have never talked to our teachers, now is the time - we've prepared a full day of free and fun activities for parents and children aged 4 to 14!

We will have presentations for parents and activities for children at the same time - so that your child can experience games and little projects that spark their interest in English, while we tell you all about our teaching methods.

You will also get to meet our teachers and see first hand how children can be envolved in activities they enjoy, all while learning English.

Activities and schedule

For children 4 to 14

For children 4 to 14, our teachers have prepared fun games, surprises and interactive activities in English designed to develop children's creativity and confidence, just as they would in one of our classes.

Children can join the Open Day activities on 2 May, between 11.30 - 20.00. They can come any time between these hours and stay as long as they wish, but please book them a seat for the desired time slot (for example, if you plan to come with children at 12.00, book seats for the 11.30 - 14.30 interval).

For parents

We've prepared a series of special interactive presentations for parents who wish to find out more about British Council teaching methods, resources and products. You can attend any of the three identical presentations for free, but please book a seat for the desired time slot in advance.

Presentation schedule:

  • 12.00 - 13.00
  • 17.00 - 18.00
  • 18.30 - 19.30

Book a seat for the parents' presentations.

And if your child will join the Open Day games and activities, you can come along too, for a chance to meet our teachers and tallk to them directly about how we work with children and motivate them.

Open Day attendance is free of charge, but seats are limited. Please book your seats for the desired activities and time slots by Wednesday, 24 April, end of day.
