When will the English language courses for children take place in the academic year 2021-2022?
The English language courses from the academic year 2021 - 2022 will take place between September 13, 2021 - June 13, 2022.
The following holidays are included in this academic year *:
- October 25 - 30 (when the parents’ meetings will be organised)
- November 29 - December 1
- December 23 - January 9
- January 31 - February 6
- April 18 - 25
* We reserve the right to change these periods depending on any subsequent changes in the state education system and according to the academic needs of our center.
How are the English language classes organised?
In the academic year 2021 - 2022 we will offer both face-to-face courses at the British Council premises in Bucharest, as well as online courses. Therefore, you will be able to choose the type of class you prefer for your child when you register them.
Please note that for the Learning Time with Timmy 1 and Primary Plus 6 levels we only offer face-to-face classes.
What levels are the English language courses offered at?
We aim to provide students with a well-structured English language learning program, so that each of them reaches their full potential in a motivating, productive and safe environment.
How much is the registration fee?
What discounts are available?
We offer a 150 lei discount (Learning Time with Timmy / Primary Infants 1&2) or 200 lei discount (Primary Infants 3 / Primary Plus / Lower Secondary / Upper Secondary) for students who attended our classes in the academic year 2020 - 2021. The discount will be deducted from the final instalment.
**We offer a 100 lei discount for the second sibling (brother / sister) registered for a course in the same semester. The discount will be deducted from the final instalment.
How can I register my child?
First of all, request a reservation at email@example.com, or call 0213079600 (09: 00-17: 00, Monday-Friday), mentioning your child's name, their student number and the preferred timetable option, among those available. You will be able to pay later as follows:
- Through a payment link and activation of the direct debit service for subsequent installments, or
- Through bank transfer
If you prefer to register your child directly at our premises in Calea Dorobanţilor 14 and pay in cash or by card, please schedule a visit to https://bookeo.com/programari. In order to comply with social distance measures, the number of appointments offered is limited.
Can I receive an invoice for the course fee?
Of course, we issue invoices on request. In order to issue you an invoice, please write to us at firstname.lastname@example.org , mentioning your child's name and student number, as well as the billing details.
Who will be the teacher of my child’s group?
Teachers will be assigned to groups at the beginning of the academic year, therefore we will be able to provide you with these details before the start of the course, in September. In the meantime, you can find more information about our teachers.
Is it possible to transfer my child to another timetable option once I have registered them?
Of course, we can transfer students to other timetable options, depending on the availability of places at the time of request. If you want a transfer, please write to us at email@example.com, or call us at 0213079600 (09:00-17:00, Monday-Friday), mentioning your child's name, their student number and the new time you want to transfer them to. The transfer will be confirmed subject to availability of places.
What is the maximum number of places in a group?
The number of places depends on the level your child is enrolled in, as well as the format of teaching - face to face or online.
Therefore, for the face to face courses, the number of places in a group is:
- Learning Time with Timmy 1:10
- Learning Time with Timmy 2 & 3:12
- Primary Infants: 14
- Primary Plus, Lower and Upper Secondary: 16
For online courses the maximum number of places in a group is 12, regardless of the level.
What are the course materials?
The course materials for Primary Infants and Primary Plus are provided by the British Council and are included in the course fee*. Children will receive the materials at the beginning of the academic year. If you have opted for an online course, you will be able to pick it up from our teaching centre in Calea Dorobanților no. 14.
For Lower Secondary and Upper Secondary the course materials will be available in electronic format on the course platform.
* Children enrolled in Upper Secondary C2 will use a textbook as course material, which will be purchased separately. You will receive details about it before the start of the academic year.
Will the face to face courses remain so throughout the academic year?
We will try to offer face to face teaching throughout the whole academic year, in accordance with local and regional regulations in the pandemic context. We reserve the right to switch to online teaching throughout the year according to the norms mentioned above.
