TNE Partnership Initiation Events

UK higher education institutions interested in establishing contacts with key decision makers within major Romanian universities are invited to attend the Transnational Education (TNE) Partnership Initiation events organised in collaboration with two prestigious institutions: The University “Politehnica” of Bucharest and the University of Economic Studies (ASE).

The aims of these events are:

  • Introducing UK universities International and TNE managers to senior representatives of the local universities that have the interest and capacity to become trustworthy partners and facilitate further cooperation.
  • Opportunity for UK universities to showcase their Doctoral or Master’s degree programmes to students enrolled on Undergraduate courses provided by the local universities in the following subject areas: Engineering and Technology, Computer Science and Economic, Business and Administration Studies.

Programme

The events will take place in parallel within the campuses of the partner universities in Bucharest, on Monday 6 November, from 10:00 to 15:00.

Time Activity
10:00-12:30

Institution promotion & TNE Partnerships Round Table at the local university.

Opening Ceremony & Campus presentation

  • Interactive discussions on topics of common interest (to be attended by International Relations University Managers, International Partnerships Managers, TNE strategy development officers and senior academic and administrative staff of the host university)
  • Individual counselling sessions with interested students and distribution of promotional materials. 
  • PG Study programmes presentations to students
12:30-13:30 Lunch break
13:30-15:30 Individual counselling sessions with interested students and distribution of promotional materials to continue
One to one meetings based on pre-event mapping of areas of interests in developing TNE programme with local partners

The University Politehnica of Bucharest

The University Politehnica of Bucharest is the largest and the oldest technical university in the country and among the most prestigious universities in Romania. Last year, nearly 25,000 students have been enrolled on courses in the field of Engineering and Technology.

The University has consistently expressed interest in looking for partners on a wide spectrum of TNE provision including joint degrees, twinning programmes, collaborative research, distance education, and franchised programmes.

The Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE)

The University of Economic Studies (ASE) ranked 301-350 in the QS World University Rankings 2017 for Economics and Econometrics, is a research intensive university that offers qualifications in the fields of economics and business, public management and applied modern languages.

Currently around 23,000 study at ASE on UG and PG programmes in the area of Business and Administrative Studies. Considerable effort has been recently made to strengthen the international profile of the university and to enhance its capacity to engage in long-term sustainable partnerships such as joint degrees, twinning programmes, collaborative research, distance education, and franchised programmes.

How to apply

Our TNE Partnership Initiation Events will follow British Council’s Study UK Exhibition, which will take place on the 4th November in Bucharest.
Participation is free of charge.
