Joining our libraries couldn’t be simpler. 

Step 1

Come to your nearest British Council library with proof of identification. If you are under 14 years old, you need to be accompanied by a parent and they must bring their identification.

Step 2

Sign our data protection form (PDF, 125KB) and pay the registration fee (by cash or card) for your chosen membership.

Long distance membership at Cluj-Napoca

Step 1

You can register for the long distance membership at Cluj-Napoca library by paying the membership fee of 60 RON via bank transfer.

The British Council bank account details are:

British Council (beneficiary), CUI 9000000026598, IBAN RO07CITI0000000826012005, Citibank Europe plc, Dublin - Bucharest branch.

Please write your name and 'long distance' in the representing section of the payment order.

Step 2

Email us at bc.cluj@britishcouncil.ro or fax* us the following documents:

  • signed copy of our data protection form (PDF, 125KB)
  • photocopy of your identification (or your parents' identification if you are under 14 years old)
  • proof of payment.

Important information

Only registered members are allowed access to the library. 

We reserve the right to cancel membership if our regulations are seriously infringed.
