As Romanians mark the 30 years since the fall of communism, World Questions comes to the country’s capital to discuss the nation’s most pressing political and social issues. The BBC’s Anita Anand and a panel of leading politicians and opinion makers will debate questions raised by an audience at the ASE University in Bucharest.

The programme will be recorded at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE - Academia de Studii Economice din București) - on 10 December. The event starts at 18.30 and will consist of a drinks reception, an artistic performance and the debate – which will be held in English. We hope to accommodate everyone, but please arrive on time to be sure of a place.
The debate will be chaired by the BBC’s Anita Anand, and the panel will include:
- Cătălin Predoiu - Minister of Justice, National Liberal Party (PNL)
- Carmen Avram - MEP, Social Democratic Party (PSD)
- Mădălina Mocan - Civil society researcher and activist
- Dan Turturică - Editor and journalist
