Teaching Reading Skills that Work

This webinar examines current perceptions and practices related to reading in the EFL class and, considering issues students have with reading tasks in Cambridge and IELTS examinations, suggests alternative approaches that could make effective use of texts and provide meaningful motivating activities for students. We will engage in practical demonstrations of reading activities and draw specific conclusions about how to approach texts found in EFL coursebooks.

Teaching Grammar for Effective Writing Skills

Starting from the realisation that grammar provides the building blocks of written text, this webinar will focus on teaching grammar use with Cambridge and IELTS assessment scales for  writing  in mind, only to recognise that many of the effective ways to teach it spring from contextualised and personalised ways to teach. We will also examine some unfortunate failures in teaching grammar and writing, while returning to alternative solutions in developing effective language skills.

Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your teaching toolkit with expert guidance and hands-on activities.

The webinar is free of charge, and all participants attending the entire session will receive a certificate of attendance.
