Take paper-based IELTS

Convenient test dates, quick results with paper based IELTS

If you choose paper-based IELTS, you will answer the Listening, Reading and Writing sections on a paper. The Speaking test is carried out face-to-face with a trained IELTS examiner. 

The Listening, Reading and Writing sections of all IELTS tests are completed on the same day. The Speaking section, however, can be completed up to a week before or after the other tests.

Special arrangements

IELTS is designed to be a fair test and your English language ability will be assessed objectively, regardless of any special needs that you may have. We can help you with any special arrangements you require for your test. Please contact us at contact@britishcouncil.ro three months in advance of your test date to find out how you can apply for special arrangements.

Please note that once all the test places for a particular date have been assigned and the session is full, it will no longer appear in the online registration system. 

You will receive an email with full test details (timetable, venue information) approximately five working days before the test. 

IELTS AT PARTNER VENUES

We also run IELTS test sessions at partner venues in different cities across Romania, giving you additional test dates and locations to choose from. 

Test dates are confirmed according to the availability of our partner venues and if a minimum of 20 candidates register for that session. To register for an IELTS exam at a partner venue, please contact the venue directly.
