A literary prize does not enhance the value of a book, but it can definitely validate it. And a novel that won the Man Booker prize should definitely be on your to-be-read list.

On 21 September, from 1830, the @British library in Bucharest has the pleasure to host the launch of Richard Flanagan's The Narrow Road to the Deep North, the winner of the Man Booker prize in 2014.  The book was translated in Romanian by Litera Publishing House.

Join us in talking about one of the most appreciated books of last year, a novel that tells a story about love and death, about war and truth, in which the hero lives in his painful, past memories.

Our guests are Laura Câlțea (book blogger), Bedros Horasangian (literary critic) and Alis Vasile (cultural manager, British Council România)
