Together with our partners from Expert Forum, we invite you to apply for a free of charge school program that we are organising for gymnasium or high school teachers for civic education or history. The Summer School for Democracy will be held in 31 August - 4 September 2015 in Sinaia.
School for Democracy is a program that aim is to select 18 passionate and enthusiastic teachers, interested in expanding their horizon of knowledge on democracy, good governance, rule of law and active citizenship.
Participants will embark on a discovery journey, at the end of which they will have clarified the basic concepts of the previously mentioned topics, they will have learned from the invited experts new teaching methods, inspired from non-formal education, they will have become the authors of a Methodological Guide/Handbook that can be used by any teacher who is interested in presenting pupils notions related to the rule of law. They will have also had the chance to carry out/ prepare civic projects, for the benefit of school and pupils community they interact with.
