This year for the European Day of Languages we invite you to enjoy English demo-lessons, games and linguistic competitions!
The members of the EUNIC cluster in Bucharest (The European Network of National Cultural Institutes) together with the Representation of the European Commission in Romania invite you to celebrate the European Day of Languages on Saturday 27 September, from 1100 to 1700, at Cărtureşti Bookshop and Verona Garden.
The organisers have prepared demo classes of 11 European languages, both for adults (in the tea house) and children (in the attic). Attendance is free of charge and registration is subject to the availability of places, without prior registration.
Programme English demo-lessons:
- 1200 - 1230 (Tea shop - courses for adults)
- 1300 - 1330 (Attic - courses for children)
Verona Garden will host the organisers and the public is invited to enter competitions, linguistic games and discover the cultural richness of the European space. Those visiting all the event stalls and attend the activities can win prizes such as books, dictionaries, touristic or conversation guides, CDs and many other surprises.

The European Day of Languages is held every year around the date of 26 September starting 2001 at the initiative of the Council of Europe.
The European Day of Languages in Bucharest is a project of the EUNIC cluster in Bucharest, coordinated in 2014 by Délégation Wallonie-Bruxelles and organised by: Czech Centre, Turkish Cultural Centre, Goethe-Institut, Greek Cultural Foundation, Italian Institute of Culture, British Council, Polish Institute, Romanian Cultural Institute, Instituto Cervantes, French Institute, Balassi Institute - Hungarian Institute in Bucharest, Délégation Wallonie-Bruxelles and the Representation of the European Commission in Romania.
