Abdi Hassan

Country Director, British Council Romania

A passionate advocate for cultural relations and inclusive leadership, Abdi Hassan has worked across seven countries on three continents, including Rwanda, Iraq and Nepal. Abdi has led diverse teams in challenging contexts and is committed to supporting young people, building trust through the arts and education, and promoting equality, diversity and inclusion. He has a strong belief in the power of connection to create lasting impact and brings a strategic, people-focused approach to his work.

Christopher Holmes

Cluster English Lead Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Georgia, British Council Romania

Christopher Holmes leads the British Council's English Language teaching work across Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Georgia. An experienced teacher, teacher-trainer, manager and leader, he has worked in 9 countries across 3 continents during his career; this is his fourth role with the British Council after stints in Bulgaria and Ukraine.

Since 2009, Roxana Ene has contributed to the development of the British Council's portfolio of exam partners in Romania. With extensive experience in sales, marketing and business development in the area of education and training for companies, as Head of Market, Roxana has an important role in increasing the organization's impact through customer-oriented strategies and strategic partners and by connecting them with opportunities for learning, certification and international development.
