From March 10 to 14, Oradea Youth House came alive with a week full of creativity, learning, and connection, bringing young people together to explore, reflect, and engage. The pop-up week concept offered a flexible, self-directed programme where participants could choose from a variety of workshops, discussions, and activities designed to empower young people, foster meaningful connections, and inspire community action.

Participants could tailor their pathway through two complementary clusters of activities.

A creative-well-being stream invited self-expression and cultural exchange through the Book Club, Art Therapy, Karaoke, Living Library and a series of Board Games, Jam Sessions and a high-energy Just Dance finale.

Alongside this, a skills-and-leadership track focused on growth and collaboration: Public Speaking sharpened communication, the Entrepreneurship Workshop and Economy 101 strengthened business acumen, while the World Cafe and a dedicated Networking Evening fostered dialogue and peer support.

A special highlight of the week was the non-speaking theatre performance “Puppets?”- a visually captivating and thought-provoking story, which invited the audience to reflect on life’s challenges, the choices we make, and the power we have to shape our own destiny.

By selecting the sessions that best matched their interests, every attendee exercised the self-direction, inclusive decision-making and purposeful relationship-building that Youth Connect for Ukraine champions.
