A large group of young participants and facilitators pose for a group photo in a classroom, some wearing matching white T-shirts with a yellow logo. They smile and make hand signs in front of a projection screen, creating a cheerful, inclusive vibe.

From March 5 to 10, Tulcea Youth House came alive with a week full of creativity, learning, and connection, bringing young people together to explore, reflect, and engage. The pop-up week concept offered a flexible, self-directed programme where participants could choose from a variety of workshops, discussions, and activities designed to empower young people, foster meaningful connections, and inspire community action.

Those who wished to sharpen their influence skills joined the Entrepreneurship workshop, explored Sustainability – Carbon Footprint, dissected rights in Know Your Rights – Be the Voice of Your Peers! and identified Volunteering Opportunities.

Sessions on Emotional Communication among Teenagers and daily networking slots further strengthened participants’ capacity to inspire peers and design community projects.

Participants who chose these sessions practised Art Therapy, created colour-rich Mandala artworks, relaxed in Yoga and Mindfulness class, and enjoyed community-building fun through Marathon Board Games, Karaoke or a Movie Night.

Hands-on workshops such as Moss Art and Arts & Crafts – Keychains encouraged collaborative problem-solving.

A special highlight of the week was the non-speaking theatre performance “Puppets?”- a visually captivating and thought-provoking story, which invited the audience to reflect on life’s challenges, the choices we make, and the power we have to shape our own destiny.

By allowing every attendee to curate their own path, the programme honoured its mission to foster purposeful, self-directed young people capable of forming meaningful networks and driving positive change within their communities.

An audience watches a young performer standing in front of a large white projection screen, with a single chair beside them. The small classroom is dimly lit, and several attendees are filming on their phones.
