What is the Cambridge C2 Proficiency exam?
The C2 Proficiency is a high level qualification that shows you can function at the highest levels of professional and academic life. It is set at Level C2 on the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).
Recognition in Romania: This exam is a mark of excellence for students. It is recognized as a linguistic competency for those in bilingual and intensive classes and can be used to equate the English exam within the Romanian Baccalaureate if passed with a score between 200 and 230 points.

The C2 Proficiency exam structure is designed to provide an exhaustive assessment of your mastery. At the British Council, we offer this exam in both paper based and digital formats. We recommend the Digital format for its modern experience and faster results available in just two weeks, which is essential for university application deadlines. To maintain the highest standards of quality, the Reading and Use of English, Writing, and Listening papers are taken on the same day. The Speaking exam is conducted in person with two examiners to ensure a natural and professional assessment of your fluency.
